ABOUT OUR CHURCH
Truth Baptist Church is a bible believing church where anyone is welcome who wants to hear the Bible preached. We love people! God planted us here in Dubois to serve our community. We care about you! As a church we strive to be like our Savior. It was said of Jesus, "He was full of grace and truth." Only through following the Lord's guidance can we be like that. I believe that the church should be a place people enjoy going to. Where they know they will hear first and foremost from the Lord. We do not have nor do we teach an agenda. Our mission is to declare the whole counsel of God. We believe in the priesthood of the believer. Any individual who is born again has a personal relationship with God. Our job as a church is to foster that relationship. To treat you the way the Lord would treat you. We believe in holy living, soul-winning, visitation, and other evangelistic activities. We believe in the imminent return of our Lord. Our church stands for truth. We believe that Jesus is the Truth, God's Word is Truth, and that the Bible is our rulebook for life. We believe the King James Bible is the Word of God and use it for all preaching and teaching. We believe the greatest commandment is to Love the Lord. The second is to love our neighbor as ourselves. As such we strive to show our love and the love of God in our community and with all we come in contact with. Truth Baptist Church was started out of Lander Independent Baptist Church. In October of 2021 we became an autonomous church. It is our purpose to be a light, to spread the truth of the gospel: that the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. Thank you for taking the time to read this. It is our prayer God puts it on your heart to join with us in worship.
God's Mission
2 Peter 3:9 – The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God's Values
Acts 20:35 – I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
“What God says is best, is best, though all the men in the world are against it.”
John Bunyan
