Our Pastor

I was saved at the age of 10 on August 17, 2003.  Growing up I was very familiar with the Bible.  My Dad is a Pastor and he made sure we all knew the Bible.  

I knew the plan of salvation from a very young age.  I even believed it to be true.  I knew that all were sinners.  I knew that God loved the world and he sent his son to die for us.  

On August 17th eternity was changed for me.  Though I had a solid understanding of the Bible for a 10 year old something different happened.  While flipping through the Bible I came across a verse in Hebrews.  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God.  God spoke to me and said you are not ready to meet God.  

Growing up my parents had two rules.  They were don’t eat candy, and don’t watch movies that they didn’t know about.  The night before I had broken both of the rules.  God showed me I was a sinner.  Though I may not of killed a person or robbed a bank I was condemned because of my sin. 

I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and save me.  I was gloriously born again. 

At the age of 20 I married my beautiful wife Leah.  Shortly after I married her a dear pastor friend of mine had a stroke.  I had the privilege of filling in for him for about a year.  

In January of 2016 I felt the moving of the Lord to come to Wyoming.  I had my plans at the time for my life.  It was to work till I could retire then do what God wanted me to do.  God showed me I was giving the best years of my life to my employer and was saving the scraps for him.  I surrendered to the Lord and God brought me to Lander WY.  I worked with Lander Baptist Church for 4 years.

During that time God grew me and drew me closer to him.  In March of 2020 we started a mission church out of Lander in our living room in Dubois.  God has blessed and grown us.  From there we went to a store front and God continued to bless.  In November God brought us to our current location 510 Carson St.  We are amazed at the blessings of God.

I am husband to my loving wife Leah Desent.  We have two children in Heaven.  Michael (5/2/16) and  Peyton. (11/16) Our oldest on earth Samuel was born 6/1/18 at 26 weeks.  He has grown from just over 2lbs to being a healthy smart 3 year old.  He loves to sing and loves the folks at church.  Our second child Samson was born 12/26/21.
